Halloween 2009

We were able to spend Halloween in Detroit with Grammie and Puppa and we had a blast. The whole group dressed up as characters from The Wizard of Oz. Jaden had a ball as usual!

Pumpkin Patch for Grandma's Birthday

Well we were all able to take part in a fun fall day for grandma's birthday. It was very nice to be all together even if the weather was a little chilly.

A Bunch of Clowns Go to the Circus!

Hello again!! Today we took the girls to the circus at the Van Andel. This was our first whole family outing and it was just too much fun. Jaden had a blast and a sugar rush after her $12 snow cone. Recce slept through the entire thing. (She must be like her Sister and Mommy can sleep better the louder it is.) It was a fantastic Sunday afternoon!

Pre School ROCKS!

Jaden's First Day of Pre-School

Little Miss Jaden had a fabulous first day of pre-school. She loves her teacher Mrs. Meyers and we are so very proud of her. My favorite teacher comment this far is when her teacher was trying to talk to another student who is an ESL student Jaden stepped in and said its ok I speak Spanish I can tell you what he's saying. That's Jaden for you. :)

Introducing Miss Reece Hope Ryan Brummel

Miss Reece arrived on August 21, 2009 after an emergency c-section. She had the umbilical cord wrapped around her body once, around her neck once and then around her leg 4 time and some how we still ended up with a prolapsed cord. Reece was born as a very chubby 8 lbs. 3.5 oz and 19 1/2 inches long however she has thinned out and is now about 7lbs and 10oz. She is a very happy healthy baby and we feel very blessed. My recovery has gone beautifully and I am back teaching and coaching and being mom.

She Just Won't Come?!!

Today was my estimated due date with Reece but, she just wants to prove everyone wrong. I'm not going to lie I am more then ready to be done and although I have enjoyed this pregnancy I want her out NOW!!!!!!!!

Baby Food Festival Wednesday Performancce

Well Jaden had her Wednesday Baby Food Festival Performance for Center Stage Dance and did a fantastic job. I will post some video in the next few days that are just tooooo cute! Love you all if you are interested Jaden will be performing on Friday from 4 until 6 at the Spanky's Pizza stage behind the studio.

Little Miss Reece Hope

I had an ultrasound today to check on little Miss Reece. The doctor thought she might be measuring small but she seems to be just right. Currently Reece weighs 6lbs and 2oz. and I am almost 2cm dilated. She will be here before we know it. I have included a few pictures from the ultrasound. Enjoy!!!!!

Jaden's Luau Birthday Party

Who would believe it but my little baby just turned 4 years old this past weekend. Boy was that hard I can only imagine what next year will be like. The theme for the party this year was a Luau Beach Party. Jaden was very lucky and was surrounded by lots of family and friends. Minus a little rain the party was very nice and we all had a good time.

A Weekend with Grammy and Puppa

It has been a few weeks again since I posted...but we did get the chance to go and visit Grammy and Puppa over Father's Day weekend as as usual we had a blast. We look forward to seeing them again this weekend which will probably be my last visit before Recce comes. Yes there are only 5 weeks and 5 days until Reece is here!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

Well if any of you even know me a little you know that I am a Wing Nut!!! So if you aren't already sporting your Red Wings Garb I am urging you to go and put it on RIGHT NOW!!! We are down to the line and are now forced into a Game 7. The boys will be back into Detroit and the "CUP" we'll be back and we are keeping it where it belongs.

Doctor's Appointment

Hello Everyone....

Today was my most recent doctor's appointment for Reece. Everything is progressing nicely and Reece and I are both healthy and strong. My glucose test came back finally and everything was normal and my blood pressure is staying low so thank God for those blessings. Reece is growing at a good pace but the doctor thinks she might be a little on the smaller side because now in the third trimester I am starting to measure a bit small. (I'm measuring 28 weeks at 30 weeks.) Reece has been a very active baby and I can tell she is getting stronger and stronger. She is also a bit sassy when the doctor was using the Doppler she kicked it several times. What do you know another daughter of ours with a little bit of an attitude.

Daddy's Little Rockstar

Well my posts might be a little out of order but hey at least I am back to posting...right?


This past Sunday Zach's band The Mode played at the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts which was an exciting day for everyone but especially for Jaden because she could go and see Daddy play. Jaden always has a great time when she finds out she gets to go to a show and she takes extra care in getting ready because she wants to be Daddy's little rock star.










Yup that's right this three year old rocks out at live shows!!!

Just a few more pictures of Jaden at gymnastics. These are a little harder to get without her realizing that I am taking her picture. She's a "bit" of a ham...I have no idea where she got that from.

After this week I think gymnastics may become more then just a summer activity. She just seems to love it sooo much! It has even gone from all of her barbies being dancers to now being gymnasts.

Jaden at Gymnastics

This summer we gave Jaden the choice of taking part in another activity before Baby Reece arrives. Big surprise Jaden chose GYMNASTICS!! She has been to two classes now and she just LOVES it. It has been nice to be able to sit back and watch Jaden come into her own without me being her teacher. (But most of you can guess that it is also a struggle for me to just sit back and watch. :0) )

The Girl's New Bedroom

With Reece on the way it is obvious that Jaden will soon have a roomate. We have decided to re-do the girl's room, one because Jaden is going to be sharing a room and we want her to still feel special two because Reece deserves to be welcomed the same way we welcomed Jaden home. After many discussions with Jaden and Zach we have decided on a Beach/Hawaiian theme for the room. I just ordered the cutest, matching quilts with a bright color beachy theme (pictures to be posted soon) and we are going to a bright but calming room. Here's the fun part I just found out that Zach has tomorrow off so I think we are going to start the taping and painting process. If you happen to be in the Fremont area tomorrow and would like to help let us know. Other then that all is good on the home front.

Brummel Garage Sale

Finally Finally Finally!!! The Brummel's will be having a garage sale. I know what many of you are thinking...(its about time) and we are at the point where we agree!!

Of course there will be a ton of clothes, shoes, some toys, extra baby stuff, furniture, scrapbook stuff, formal "prom"ish"" dresses and other random things. If you have some old treasures you'd like to get rid of come join the fun.

The very first Brummel Garage Sale will be May 14 (Thursday) and May 15 (Friday) from 9am-3pm. We might add May 16 from 9am-12pm. If you are interested bring your stuff over by Wednesday afternoon.

If you don't mind helping us out tell your friends about our garage sale...we have found that pre-sales have been very popular in the area so we'll follow suite and have a pre-sale Monday through Wednesday before the sale.

Reece's First Picture

Obviously... we only have a few pictures of our newest blessing (as of right now) but I wanted to make sure that I was keeping it as fair as possible between the girls. Currently Reece is at 24 weeks and the pregnancy has been pretty great. In the last week she has become much more active and loves to do somersaults over the traditional kicks and punches. Similar to Jaden in the last week I have started with Braxton Hicks again but at least I know what they are this time. In the next week we will be posting belly pictures..keep an eye out!

Our First Easter Egg Hunt

Over our Easter break we were able to spend a week in Detroit with my family. (which was soooo nice) On the Saturday before Easter we were able to take Jaden to her first Easter egg hunt and she had a ball. However like most hunts it started and was over in just a few short seconds but, she still enjoyed every second of it.
